St. Paul's Episcopal had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 29-28 win over the UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

UMS-Wright Prep's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Max Fowler and Richard Scott. Fowler threw for 197 yards and one touchdown, while Scott gained 139 total yards and a touchdown.

St. Paul's Episcopal and UMS-Wright Prep should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Saints will challenge Baldwin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (35 vs. 128).
