Soccer Recap: Cleveland Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Sanderson + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Cleveland had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Sanderson Spartans 2-1 on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Cleveland's disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Sanderson are ranked 111th).

Cole Jones and Ronaldo Gutierrez scored both of Cleveland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

The win got Cleveland back to even at 10-10. As for Sanderson, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9-3.

As of now, neither Cleveland nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
