Recap: Dibble Demons vs. Wayne Bulldogs
The Dibble Demons had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They blew past Wayne 53-0 at home. Considering Dibble has won seven contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Dibble to victory were Blake Creswell and Jag Norman. Creswell threw for 147 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, while Norman rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Norman hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Grady Corbin, who rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Dibble's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-8 Wayne and 1-8 Healdton (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 27.8% over those games). As for Wayne, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dibble will take on Rush Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wayne, they will head out on the road to face off against Wynnewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
