Basketball Game Preview: Marion County Warriors vs. Brainerd Panthers

The Marion County Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Brainerd Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion County will be strutting in after a win while Brainerd will be coming in after a loss.

Marion County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They ended the year with a bang, routing Northeast 72-47 on Sunday. The Warriors pushed the score to 56-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Brainerd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 69-12 loss at the hands of Soddy Daisy.

The victory made it two in a row for Marion County and bumps their season record up to 3-3. As for Brainerd, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Marion County came up short against Brainerd in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 56-52. Can Marion County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
