Baseball Recap: Southwest Guilford Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Southwest Guilford can now relate to. They fell 5-1 to the Providence Panthers on Tuesday. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southwest Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Providence, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-6.

Southwest Guilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Providence, they will face off against Weddington on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.6, the Warriors 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
