Volleyball Recap: Kenzie Eury Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Heritage Prep

Liberty Christian Prep won the last time they faced Heritage Prep and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions blew past the Praetorians 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Liberty Christian Prep took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9, 25-11.

Liberty Christian Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenzie Eury, who had 11 aces, ten kills, and five digs. With that strong performance, Eury is now averaging an impressive 2.5 aces per game. Laniya Small was another key player, getting 14 assists and eight aces.

They weren't the only good server: Liberty Christian Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 32 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 14 aces in three consecutive games.

Liberty Christian Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Heritage Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coincidentally, Liberty Christian Prep and Heritage Prep will both be playing North Kissimmee Christian the next time they take the court. The Praetorians will head out to face the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on the 16th.
