Baseball Recap: Urbana Hillclimbers vs. Graham Local Falcons
Urbana barely beat Graham Local the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hillclimbers blew past the Falcons 14-5 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hillclimbers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
Grady Lantz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Urbana is 2-1 when Lantz posts two or more runs, but 4-8 otherwise.
