Baseball Game Preview: Mary Walker Chargers vs. Odessa Tigers

The Mary Walker Chargers will venture away from home to take on the Odessa Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Mary Walker's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.

Last Saturday, Mary Walker got the win against Wellpinit by a conclusive 15-8. Considering the Chargers have won four games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Odessa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Almira-Coulee-Hartline, falling 19-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Mary Walker pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Odessa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
