Volleyball Recap: Morgan County Beats Stephens County for Their Sixth Straight Win

Morgan County entered their tilt with Stephens County on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Indians. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Morgan County easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-16.

Abby Dennard paced Morgan County's offense, picking up 12 kills. Dennard got some help from Graycen Cawthon and her 17 assists. Cawthon also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Brayden Burke, racking up four apiece.

Morgan County's win bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Stephens County, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Morgan County and Stephens County will both be playing North Oconee the next time they take the court. The Indians will head out to face the Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
