Basketball Game Preview: West Fargo Packers vs. Fargo Davies Eagles

The West Fargo Packers are taking a road trip to take on the Fargo Davies Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

West Fargo took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past Fargo North with points to spare, taking the game 74-55.

Meanwhile, Fargo Davies had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took down the Mustangs 66-50. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Mustangs are ranked 86th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Fargo pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.7 points per game. As for Fargo Davies, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

West Fargo suffered a grim 86-66 defeat to Fargo Davies when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can West Fargo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
