Volleyball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley lost against Alexander on September 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders lost 3-0 to the Spartans.

River Valley took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-15, 25-17.

Alexander's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abbi Ohms, who had 14 digs and four assists. Ohms is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Alexander, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-3.

River Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Gallia Academy on the 29th. As for Alexander, they will welcome Meigs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
