Soccer Game Preview: Alleghany vs. South Stokes

The Alleghany Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the South Stokes Sauras at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Stokes took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Alleghany, who comes in off a win.

Alleghany made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Mount Airy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Trojans never let the Granite Bears get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Alleghany's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Their offense was hitting Mount Airy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Meanwhile, South Stokes came up short against McMichael on Friday and fell 6-4.

Alleghany's victory bumped their record up to 3-7-1. As for South Stokes, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

Alleghany might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from South Stokes in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
