Football Recap: R.J. Reynolds Demons vs. Parkland Mustangs        
        
		
             R.J. Reynolds's game  last Monday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. Everything went their way against the Parkland Mustangs as the R.J. Reynolds Demons made off with  a  25-3 win. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Demons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead R.J. Reynolds to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Thomas (Tommy) Elrod, who threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns.  John (Mac) Murphy was  Elrod's top target, picking up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to R.J. Reynolds' defense and their six sacks. Leading the way was  Jayden Willis with  four. He also set a new season high mark in  total tackles with ten. R.J. Reynolds got some further help from  Jaylen Coakley: he made 13 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 The  win  got R.J. Reynolds back to even at 3-3. As for Parkland, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record  this season.
 R.J. Reynolds will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenn  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. R.J. Reynolds is facing Glenn at the right time seeing as Glenn is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Parkland, they will head out on the road to  challenge  East Forsyth  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. East Forsyth knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Parkland likes a good challenge.
