Softball Recap: Highland Park Takes a Loss

The Highland Park Hornets came up short against the Perryton Rangers on Friday, falling 14-2.

Highland Park saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlin Lucas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Lucas is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stole at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Highland Park dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Perryton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

Coincidentally, Highland Park and Perryton will both be playing Dimmitt the next time they take the field. Perryton will host Dimmitt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Highland Park will head out to face them on Saturday.
