Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Common Eagles vs. Strasburg Indians

The Liberty Common Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Strasburg Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Liberty Common is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Wiggins on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Liberty Common took a blow against Wiggins, falling 59-23. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.

Meanwhile, Strasburg had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.9 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Beetdiggers as they made off with a 71-50 win. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Strasburg pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Liberty Common, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

Liberty Common took a serious blow against Strasburg in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 76-16. Thankfully for Liberty Common, Graecy Graf (who went 7 of 13 en route to 17 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals) won't be suiting up this time.
