Softball Game Preview: Woodland Wolves vs. Destiny Christian Academy Lions

The Woodland Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the Destiny Christian Academy Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodland has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Woodland after they put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 13-3 to Dixon.

Woodland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Tetreault, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Destiny Christian Academy waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 5-1.

Destiny Christian Academy's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Woodland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
