Softball Recap: Venus Beats Arlington Heights for Their Third Straight Win

Venus had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Arlington Heights Yellowjackets. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 6-1 win the Yellowjackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2018.

Venus' victory bumped their record up to 19-7-1. As for Arlington Heights, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Venus will venture away from home to take on Carter at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Arlington Heights, they will challenge Cleburne at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cleburne will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Arlington Heights surely won't give up without a fight.
