Baseball Recap: Buhach Colony Comes Up Short

Buhach Colony came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Atwater Falcons, falling 8-1. The Thunder haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Gatlyn Leard made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Buhach Colony's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16-1. As for Atwater, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7-1 record this season.

While Buhach Colony had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
