Baseball Recap: Maynard Comes Up Short

Maynard and Westfield Technical Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Maynard had to settle for second. They fell 6-2 to Westfield Technical Academy.

Maynard saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eddie O'Rourke, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Another was Max Cedeno, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Maynard's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Westfield Technical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.

As of now, neither Maynard nor Westfield Technical Academy have any future games scheduled.
