Baseball Recap: Legacy Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Legacy's offense. They came up short against the Poly Parrots on Saturday, falling 8-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Parrots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Legacy's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Poly, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Legacy will square off against Sylmar at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Poly, they will face off against Banning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Parrots 2.6, the Pilots 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
