Volleyball Recap: Rampart Starts off Right with Win over Sand Creek

Rampart had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Sand Creek Scorpions on Thursday.

While Rampart won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-19.

Rampart's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dylan Paurus, who had seven digs, three blocks, and two aces. Another player making a difference was Keaton Klich, who had 15 digs and two assists.

Paurus wasn't the only good server: Rampart was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sand Creek only four aces.

Rampart has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Cheyenne Mountain on the 1st. As for Sand Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Pueblo South on the 28th.
