Basketball Game Preview: Cypress Creek Cougars vs. Cy-Fair Bobcats

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cypress Creek Cougars duke it out with the Cy-Fair Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cypress Creek will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Friday, Cypress Creek strolled past Memorial with points to spare, taking the game 53-35. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Mustangs are ranked 650th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cy-Fair unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Stratford by a score of 56-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bobcats have suffered since December 27, 2024.

Cy-Fair's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-14. As for Cypress Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 20-11 record this season.
