Softball Recap: Central Gets the Win

Central was handed an eight-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They skirted past the Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs 10-8.

Libby Hoen and Emma Krohn did most of the damage at the plate: Hoen went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Krohn got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Kina Mochinski was another key player, earning one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases.

Central's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Central has already played their next game, a 12-4 loss against Nicollet on the 11th. Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart has also already played their next contest (against St. Mary's), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
