It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Spanish Fork can now relate to. They fell just short of the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs by a score of 57-55 on Thursday. Despite 54 more yards than the Mustangs, the Dons couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

When it comes to explaining why Spanish Fork lost, don't look at Kaden Vest. Despite the final result, he rushed for 210 yards and five touchdowns, and also picked up 62 receiving yards. Vest is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Mckay Smith, who threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.5% of his passes.

Spanish Fork didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kal Roberts.
