Basketball Recap: Central Magnet Comes Up Short

Central Magnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 75-50 to the Tullahoma Wildcats. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against Central Magnet this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 77-42 back in January.

Tullahoma was led to victory by Austin Tinnon and Xavier Farrell. Tinnon went 13 of 17 on his way to 33 points and eight boards, while Farrell went 8 for 18 en route to 18 points along with six assists and four steals. The matchup was Farrell's third in a row with at least ten points. Khani Johnson was another key player, going 5 for 10 en route to 10 points.

Central Magnet's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Tullahoma, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.

Central Magnet has already played their next contest (against Marshall County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tullahoma will head out on the road to challenge Lawrence County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Tullahoma's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
