Volleyball Recap: Sartell-St. Stephen Takes a Loss

Sartell-St. Stephen lost against Maple Grove back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sabres fell just short of the Crimson by a score of 2-1.

Olivia Terhune paced Sartell-St. Stephen's offense, picking up seven kills. Terhune got some help from Kate Thompson and her 14 assists. Gabi Schumann controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Maple Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amanda Swiers, who had 16 assists and six digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckinley Hardle, who had eight digs and three assists.

Sartell-St. Stephen's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Maple Grove, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-3.

Sartell-St. Stephen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Princeton on the 11th. As for Maple Grove, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Monticello on the 11th.
