Softball Recap: Taft Raiders vs. Hutto Hippos
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Taft walked away with it. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Hutto Hippos on Thursday. Six seems to be a good number for the Raiders as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Alyssa Rangel made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one double.
In other batting news, Sophia Quiroz was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Briana Aguilar was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
