St. Stephens won the last time they faced Draughn and Jachavis Sherrill did his part to make sure it happened again. The Indians took their matchup on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 76-34 win over the Wildcats thanks in part to Sherrill, who shot 90% from the field on his way to 25 points. He is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Draughn lost, don't look at Cayden Lewis. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-16 to rack up 18 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Titus Dodd, who posted six points.

St. Stephens has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 75.5 points this season. As for Draughn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

St. Stephens didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-49 win against East Burke on the 21st. As for Draughn, they will challenge Newton-Conover at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
