Football Game Preview: Brunswick Blue Devils vs. Jackson Polar Bears

The Brunswick Blue Devils will head out to challenge the Jackson Polar Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Brunswick had taken Strongsville down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Blue Devils lost to the Mustangs at home by a 24-7 margin. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Mustangs are ranked 102nd).

Meanwhile, Jackson scored first but ultimately less than Hoover in their game on Friday. They lost 35-14 to the Vikings. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Polar Bears struggled afterwards.

This is the second loss in a row for Jackson and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Brunswick, their record is now an identical 5-5.

Brunswick might still be hurting after the 24-3 defeat they got from Jackson when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
