Recap: Arts Jaguars vs. Seton Hall Prep Pirates
The Arts Jaguars won the last time they faced the Seton Hall Prep Pirates, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Arts managed a 51-45 win over the Pirates. Given Arts' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Pirates are ranked 124th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gino Romano, who scored nine points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Ante, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Arts is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Seton Hall Prep, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-10.
Arts will take on the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 226 points over their last three contests. As for Seton Hall Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against the Roughriders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
