Basketball Recap: Chapin Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Avery Belton and Sami Stephenson

On Thursday, the Chapin Eagles lost to the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs on the road by a 49-35 margin.

Chapin's loss came despite strong showings from Sami Stephenson and Avery Belton. Stephenson posted seven points and nine boards, while Belton had nine points. What's more, Belton also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024.

Chapin dropped their record down to 13-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for North Myrtle Beach, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.

As of now, neither Chapin nor North Myrtle Beach have any future games scheduled.
