Basketball Recap: Harrah Skates Past Perkins-Tryon with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Harrah's strategy against Perkins-Tryon on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Panthers blew the Demons out of the water with a 64-30 final score. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Harrah found their leader in sophomore Paislee Carter, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 14 points in addition to six assists and five boards. Carter is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maggie Vinson, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

Harrah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Harrah's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Perkins-Tryon, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Harrah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 40-39 loss against Weatherford on the 22nd. As for Perkins-Tryon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-35 win against Guthrie on the 22nd.
