Paradise Valley has gone a perfect 10-0 against North Canyon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Rattlers at 3:45 p.m. North Canyon took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Paradise Valley, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Paradise Valley made easy work of Shadow Mountain and carried off an 11-4 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Adair Ortiz was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Nick deChaud, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Ortiz wasn't the only one making solid contact: Paradise Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The Trojans are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for North Canyon's offense. They lost 10-0 to Estrella Foothills on Friday. The Rattlers just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

North Canyon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emilio Figueroa, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Paradise Valley now has a winning record of 9-8. As for North Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Paradise Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against North Canyon in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 7-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
