Basketball Recap: Cedar Ridge Comes Up Short

Cedar Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vandegrift Vipers. The match was a 23-23 toss-up at halftime, but the Raiders couldn't quite close it out.

Cedar Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Vandegrift, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Cedar Ridge will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Vista Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on December 31st. Vista Ridge will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Cedar Ridge surely won't give up without a fight. As for Vandegrift, they will be taking part in a tournament against Copperas Cove at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
