Baseball Recap: Purnell Swett Wins Going Away Against Douglas Byrd

Purnell Swett got themselves on the board against Douglas Byrd on Wednesday, but Douglas Byrd never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 21-0 win. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Hudson Locklear tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chandon Sanderson, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
