Basketball Recap: West Carrollton Comes Up Short

West Carrollton lost against Butler back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The West Carrollton Pirates received a blow as they fell 58-44 to the Butler Aviators. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Aviators are ranked 134th).

West Carrollton's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Butler, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

The future could be bright for both West Carrollton and Butler: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. West Carrollton will try to hand Fairborn their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Butler will look to extend Greenville's seven-game losing streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
