Gardendale typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Clay-Chalkville proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 56-46 victory over the Gardendale Rockets. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on three straight.

Clay-Chalkville pushed their record up to 12-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for Gardendale, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 17-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clay-Chalkville will head out to take on Pinson Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gardendale, they are taking a road trip to square off against Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
