Softball Recap: Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua Falls Short of Troy in the Playoffs

Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua and Troy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 4-3. The Scotties' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Brynn Donaldson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was CharLee McColly, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua's loss dropped their record down to 17-10-1. As for Troy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

As of now, neither Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
