Softball Recap: Alleman Takes a Loss

Alleman lost against Riverdale back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Alleman fell just short of Riverdale by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Pioneers have lost by just one run.

Sydnee Ganahl spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits.

At the plate, Alleman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Campbell Humphrey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Alleman now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Riverdale, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Alleman will take on Orion at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverdale, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against East Moline United at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
