Basketball Game Preview: Winston Salem Christian Lions vs. East Forsyth Eagles

The Winston Salem Christian Lions will take on the East Forsyth Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Winston Salem Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully East Forsyth likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, Winston Salem Christian beat Charlotte Elite Academy 64-55. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Soldiers are ranked 299th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, East Forsyth entered their tilt with Glenn on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They strolled past the Bobcats with points to spare, taking the game 62-45.

Winston Salem Christian's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for East Forsyth, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.
