Volleyball Recap: Morgan Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Morgan had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the American Heritage Patriots. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Morgan was led to victory by Ryker Field and Kevin Wangsgard. Field had ten digs, while Wangsgard had 12 kills, ten digs, six blocks, and three aces. That's the most blocks Wangsgard has posted since back in March.

Morgan is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. As for American Heritage, they moved to 16-12 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Morgan has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Salt Lake Academy on the 8th. As for American Heritage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Carbon on the 8th.
