After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maroa-Forsyth, LeRoy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the St. Thomas More Sabers. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jack Bogema spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Andrew Fleming, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

LeRoy's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for St. Thomas More, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-20.

Coming up, LeRoy will take on Hoopeston at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Thomas More, they will head out to square off against Milford at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
