Basketball Recap: Ponte Vedra Triumphs

If Andrew Jackson wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Ponte Vedra, they should've done a better job of containing Jocelyn Hoffmann. The Ponte Vedra Sharks were the clear victor by a 58-35 margin over the Andrew Jackson Tigers on Thursday thanks in part to Hoffmann, who went 6 for 12 en route to 18 points. The match was her fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Audrey Rosendahl, who posted nine points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Ponte Vedra's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Andrew Jackson, they dropped their record down to 14-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Ponte Vedra will challenge Menendez at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Menendez will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Ponte Vedra surely won't give up without a fight. As for Andrew Jackson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-44 loss against Beachside on the 25th.
