Plano West has gone 9-1 against Plano East recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Plano West Wolves and the Plano East Panthers will meet in a classic East v. West matchup at 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Plano West needed a bit of extra time to put away Plano East. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Panthers. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

For Plano East's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Barboza, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Jordan Yearby also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Plano East moved to 9-7-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Plano West, their win bumped their record up to 7-3-1.
