Softball Game Preview: Fairview Aggies vs. Vinemont Eagles

Fairview has gone 8-2 against Vinemont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Fairview Aggies are headed away from home for the first time to take on the Vinemont Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Fairview is leaving town to face Vinemont after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Fairview took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hanceville on Tuesday.

Ava Pruett made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three).

Meanwhile, Vinemont fell victim to West Point and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 10-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Everything went Fairview's way against Vinemont in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Fairview made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairview since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
