Basketball Recap: Linton-Stockton Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

The third road matchup was the charm for Linton-Stockton, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 52-43 victory over the Owen Valley Patriots on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Miners, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Owen Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aubrey Sparks, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards. Sparks' evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Hannah Bixler was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Linton-Stockton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for Owen Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

Linton-Stockton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ben Davis at 10:00 a.m. on January 3, 2025. Owen Valley will take on Terre Haute North Vigo in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
