Basketball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 76-50 to the Penn Cambria Panthers. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-30.

Penn Cambria's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Rabish, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Landon Semelsberger, who went 5 for 10 en route to 14 points.

Richland now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Penn Cambria, they pushed their record up to 6-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richland has already played their next contest (against Penns Valley Area), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Penn Cambria will host Bishop Guilfoyle at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Guilfoyle knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Penn Cambria likes a good challenge.
