After a string of three wins, Newcomerstown's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indian Valley Braves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 16-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2019.

Leroy Raber made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Newcomerstown's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Indian Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Newcomerstown has already played their next match, a 12-1 victory against Aquinas on the 22nd. As for Indian Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Dover on the 21st.
