Rockwood and Oakdale are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. Rockwood will welcome Oakdale at 6:35 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Rockwood has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Oakdale will arrive with six straight victories.

Rockwood came up short against Greenback on Thursday, falling 23-3.

Meanwhile, Oakdale hadn't done well against Oneida recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Oakdale never let Oneida get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The result came thanks to Rhylan Hicks's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Rilee Goodson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Smith, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Oakdale pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Rockwood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
