Volleyball Recap: Union Mine Comes Up Short

Union Mine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cardinal Newman Cardinals.

Union Mine's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cardinal Newman, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coincidentally, Union Mine and Cardinal Newman will both be playing Ponderosa the next time they take the court. Union Mine will head out to face Ponderosa at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Cardinal Newman will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
